Resistance is the only logical answer!

From the mountainous plains, through the vast land mass of Northern Kurdish Syria.
It is the reality of War that we are in constant confrontation with. In an endless onslaught of violence and its unending effects.

It is the unseen female and male soldiers of Rojava who are fighting for their cultural survival against the forces of religious fundamentalism and a horrific dictatorship that refuses to understand any notions of humanity from within. Becoming hero’s and martyr for all us to witness and take hold off. It is about freedom in the times of war! It is about love. It is about people willing to share this planet with love and respect. The martyrs and heroes of Rojava are fighting for a better, progressive and open Middle East, where everyone can be part of the complex dynamic and fall in love again and not the promulgation of constant hate, cultural bigotry, misogyny and the ever unending oppression that so symbolically epitomizes this part of the world.

Special thanks to The Kurdish Woman’s Resistance Movement and The Dutch Artist Jonas Staal for inviting to participate in The New World Summit, Rojava. Ibrahim Quraishi spent an forgettable time in North Eastern Syria learning, listening and absorbing the actual tactics of resistance on the frontlines from brave female and male soldiers.
