If there is nothing other than the image then the very notion of the image becomes devoid of content / KIJKDOZEN (2011)

A set of seven peeping boxes (“kijkdozen” in Dutch are normally made by children in which they create mini worlds of imagination and show them to adults to watch in return for small money) are aligned on one wall, jutting out as if they are pulled through the wall. Every box is made out of white painted and laminated wood and contains a pseudo 3D photo of different parts of the destroyed bunker compound of Yasser Arafat in Ramallah after the Israeli military incursion.
